Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The A/E shall provide proposals indicating costs and schedule of the work for a variety of work based upon the information provided by SMUD’s Contract Manager. The types of work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, tenant improvements to existing buildings, minor additions to existing buildings, renovations that may include seismic upgrades, HVAC and chiller replacements, lighting replacements, and other projects that are deemed appropriate. 2. All SMUD requests for work will be provided to the Consultant in the form of written “Task Letters.” There will be a Project Manager appointed for each task, who may also be authorized to give technical direction to the Consultant, as will be noted in the task authorization letter. 3. All designs shall include a fire suppression system designed by a certified fire protection engineer, ready for submission to the City or local agency for permit application, if applicable to the project. 4. All projects shall include documentation for a fire detection system based upon a EST3 or Siemens system, as applicable to the project. 5. All office space renovated and upgraded will conform to SMUD standards. The space planning of the new office environment may be performed by another firm already under contract to SMUD. The successful A/E will coordinate their activities. 6. All project designs shall meet all ordinances, codes and ADA requirements adopted by the local agency.
