Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall modify the existing or provide new Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs), devices, relays and any other components necessary to ensure the system automatically transmits trouble and alarm indications to the existing standalone systems. The FAS shall be in accordance with the work described herein and with the plans and specifications attached hereto. In the event of a conflict between the Scope of Work (SOW), and the Plans and Specifications, the SOW shall prevail. The Contractor’s design, material and installation must conform to applicable codes and regulations, and as identified in the project Plans and Specifications, to provide a FAS that will integrate with the existing automatic fire alarm system. All services identified in the scope of work are to be completed in Central Health Services Building 451, Subproject 3. Installation, programming, final inspection, and Testing and Acceptance shall be completed in phases. The Contractor shall visually inspect the condition of the existing fire alarm systems in the Central Health Services Building 451, Subproject 3. The Contractor shall verify available cable and conduit to be used and connected from new device locations to the existing FACP as well as sufficient pathway to central control. Completed system must report to the Facility Central Control panel. The Contractor shall install and terminate devices and program the FACPs to communicate with existing and new devices, any automatic shutdown of existing Air Handling Units and all other related components for a complete and functional FAS. The Contractor shall verify the proper installation and operation of the fire alarm signals and reporting devices and test all components prior to OSFM inspection per project specifications. The Contractor shall coordinate the routing of all electrical conduits with the IWL Site Supervisor. The Contractor shall be present for all on-site functional testing by the OSFM. The Contractor shall provide complete Start-Up and Testing of the FAS. The Contractor shall perform 100% Acceptance Testing of all supplied equipment and devices with OSFM for approval. The Contractor shall provide final as-built drawings and Operations and Maintenance data at the completion of this project. The Contractor shall verify the proper installation and operation of the fire alarm signals and reporting devices; and pre-test all components with the IWL Site Supervisor, prior to OSFM inspection. The Contractor shall provide technical support for the installation of conduits, non-fire boxes, box connectors and all other items deemed necessary by the IWL Site Supervisor. The Contractor shall provide up to eight (8) hours of Technical Support and Training for CDCR Staff on Operation and Maintenance of the new FAS, in Central Health Services Building 451 Subproject 3.
