Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project’s objective is to upgrade or replace the fire alarm systems in the I&E Building to a modern and compliant standard, except for the fifth floor EST system, with a compatible system that conforms to EchoWater Facility’s standard equipment for fire suppression system. The current system is obsolete and potentially non-compliant with the prevailing fire code and regulations. The upgraded system must adhere to the EchoWater Facility’s specifications for fire suppression system and comply with the California Fire Code. This project is structured into multiple phases: • Phase 1: Conceptual Design Assessment and Alternatives Analysis – This initial phase involves reviewing the existing system, developing and evaluating various design alternatives, and recommending the preferred alternative to SacSewer. The consultant will submit a preliminary design report that documents the design criteria, assumptions, calculations, drawings, and cost estimates for each alternative. At the end of this phase, SacSewer will decide on an alternative and determine whether to continue with the same consultant for subsequent phases of the project, via a contract amendment, subject to satisfactory performance. • Phase 2 & 3: Final Design and Construction Support – These phases involve finalizing the design specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for the selected alternative, as well as providing support for construction and closeout. The consultant will submit a final design report that documents the final design details
