The City’s Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan identified this project as the number one priority to improve the aging infrastructure an improve capacity with the primary consideration of health and safety of the public and the protection of the environment by minimizing the possibility of sewage spills and overflows. Based on The Sewer System Rehabilitation Plan identified the Marguerita Avenue and Valley Boulevard to be deficient in capacity. Therefore, it’s recommended to replace existing 8-inch and 10-inch sewer main with approximately 3,000 feet of 15-inch sewer main. The Project is also including a new 10- inch sewer main to be constructed between two manholes as shown in Exhibit A (Attached); remove and replace existing sewer manholes as needed; street pavement (curb to curb); remove and replace damaged curb and gutter, and remove and replace damaged sidewalk.
