Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. ERTs shall be Itron® 100W+, and have the capability to communicate with an Itron® Fixed Network. b. ERT shall have the following data transmission capabilities: i. Two-way meter data collection designed for handheld, mobile, and fixed network collection systems. ii. ERT shall transmit the fixed network consumption message at peak radiated power greater than 1-Watt, and transmit data every six minutes. At each hour the last seven top of the hour readings shall be sent to a collector or repeater's antenna. Signal shall include the meter serial number and the meter reading. iii. ERT shall transmit signal to a data collector through drive by or walk by, every six seconds. Signal shall include the meter serial number and the meter reading. Power usage shall be approximately 10-milli-watts. c. Up to 1/100th cubic foot resolution of water meters that support eight dials. d. GeoMode feature which allows an ERT that is not being heard by the fixed network to transmit its Network Interval Message (NIM) via a neighboring ERT unit with an established link to the Fixed Network. e. Storage of 40 days of hourly consumption information that can be collected by City’s Itron® Fixed Network system, mobile, and handheld system. The following options for data shall be available: i. A reading from any hour within the last 40 days ii. A set of 24 consecutive hourly readings iii. A set of 40 daily readings iv. A set of 40 days of hourly interval data are available even in mobile mode f. Each ERT shall feature a circuit assembly and battery pack that is fully encapsulated within a potting material to completely protect internal components from water, contaminants, corrosion, rough handling, and temperature cycling.
