The contractor(s) is/are required to provide a series of on-site customized training for SacSewer employees as follows: A. Scope of Topics Electrical Safety Related Work Practices • Safety related work practices and procedures • Establishing an electrically safe work condition • Work involving electrical hazards Electrical Safety Related Maintenance Practices (relating 70B to 70E) • General electrical equipment • Hazardous locations • Personal safety and protective equipment Electrical Safety Requirements for Special Equipment • Safety related work practices for batteries and battery rooms • Safety related requirements for capacitors Knowledge check and review at the end of the course • CEU credit preferred to apply toward professional certifications B. Types of Training & Target Groups a. Arc Flash Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E) Full Training o Two (2) days duration o With two (2) classes each with about 35 trainees (i.e. about 70 trainees) o For handling of equipment between 0-600V and NFPA70B elements included o Target groups: Electricians, Control Technicians, Stationary Engineers
