Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide sufficient urine sample collection materials for instant testing or have capability to accept samples collected through instant testing products. Provide urinalysis testing for drugs and alcohol. Provide oral fluid drug testing. Provide shipping supplies, arrange and pay for pickup/transport and/or shipping of urine specimens for confirmatory testing. Provide swift confirmatory testing services. Agree that the procedure mandated by the Clinical and Laboratory Improvement Act – 1988 (CLIA 88) shall be strictly adhered to, and shall maintain compliance with the requirements of a public health laboratory according to the California Code of Regulations, Title 17, Section 1078, and shall take part in all quality control measures to ensure the integrity of testing results as directed in CLIA 88. Bill Medi-Cal or other source as appropriate for laboratory testing services for covered clients when adequate billing information is provided by County. Provide test results (both positive and negative) electronically, in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy standards. Provide emergency same day pick up of urine specimens on request. Report specimens within 24 hours of receipt whether specimens are unsatisfactory for testing.
