Using the information matrix provided in Annex A, the City also needs to understand how other comparable cities and districts approach the same or similar services. This information is invaluable to understanding the needs, gaps and work processes across the division and department. It informs workforce and succession planning by providing a basis for action to address trends that may impact future capacity. As we face future challenges, the information will identify ideas for improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the current operational model.
