The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified organizations interested in partnering with the California State University (CSU) to build an AI driven systemwide 24/7 Shared Security Operations function to proactively monitor existing CSU Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection and Response/ Extended Detection and Response) EDR/XDR feeds to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across the CSU system. The CSU is creating this new Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) to ensure the confidentiality, privacy, integrity, and availability of information assets across all universities within the system. This initiative aims to bolster the protection, detection, and response capabilities against cybersecurity threats across all 23 campuses and the Chancellor's Office. The CSU has recognized that a systemwide CFC represents a transformational collaboration to utilize and coordinate our resources in a way that meets future information security challenges most effectively. This RFP seeks to identify a Contractor partner capable of supporting CSU's mission-critical operations by providing robust cybersecurity services. Contractors are invited to propose comprehensive solutions that integrate with existing CSU IT infrastructure and enhance overall security resilience through advanced technologies and best practices. The solution must integrate seamlessly with existing technology systems, ensure robust security and privacy, and provide features compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
