The City desires to upgrade, or fully replace, the existing system with a modern system that provides clear audio and high-definition visual presentations. All the technology should be digital, semi-automated, and interoperable. The installed infrastructure should be able to accommodate future upgrades. Project Goals: • Add video display and recording capabilities • Improve audio capabilities • Improve reliability and efficiency • Install and implement designed audio, video, and sound system solution Currently, the side area of the dais contains the rack, power, and some cabling necessary to support digital transmission to the current Broadcast Control Room. There may need to be some modification to accommodate the new equipment which may be sized differently than the existing equipment. The current equipment rack can be used as part of the new design; however, the new design should not be restricted to that location. Another Broadcast Control Room could be considered as a new location for equipment and cabling.
