Respondent’s services shall include at a minimum: • Provide support in the initial planning stage by collaborating with County’s Project team, stakeholder agencies, or other involved parties. • Participate in any necessary Grant Program training. • Assist County with the procurement of construction vendors for both defensible space clearing and home hardening retrofits in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements, policies, and procedures. • Oversee contract process to establish a wide variety of contractors/subcontractors for specific home hardening retrofits and defensible space measures as identified in the scope of work for each homesite. Assign jobs and oversee contractor performance. • Review home assessments and develop a detailed scope of work for each homesite to carry out the defensible space and retrofit measures recommended for the property. Communicate with home assessors, homeowners, contractors, and Project staff as necessary. • Provide input on the Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Site Specific Checklist as it relates to ability for site work to comply with established property conditions. Ensure compliance with EHP mitigation measures as requested by County.
