Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors to provide Comprehensive Employee Commuter Bus Service for San Mateo County employees.The Commuter Bus Services will be managed by the San Mateo County Office of Sustainability’s Commute Alternatives Program staff. The goal of the County of San Mateo Commute Alternatives Program (CAP) is to reduce congestion and greenhouse gas emissions that result from single occupancy vehicle commutes, and the Employee Commuter Bus is one component of the County’s comprehensive transportation demand management efforts. The selected vendor will be responsible for all aspects of the shuttle bus services and operations including but not limited to: vehicle purchase or lease, cleaning, fueling, maintenance, staffing, and permitting; ensuring compliance with all applicable state and Federal regulations and standards for busing; service reporting; and establishing and maintaining superior levels of customer service. The start date and term for the proposed service is December 2018 through November 2020 (County may extend the term for the proposed services for an additional one year), subject to negotiation of a final agreement.
