Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm should be able to start immediately and will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic public relations and communications plans in a professional, timely, and efficient manner. Services include, but are not limited to: the development of an overall strategic marketing and communications plan and social media campaign to promote the Public Art Triennial for print, online, radio, television and social media platforms including: (a) Media relations – Connect directly with journalists responsible for producing news and features to maximize positive coverage of the event. (b) Social Media strategy – Create a social media strategy with an analytics model and produce content to address each combined goal and objective. (c) Community relations – Identify allies and opponents. Connect with allies to improve communication goals and objectives and monitor opponents to anticipate and mitigate negative media commentary. (d) Issues management- Present all issues to principal with a written summary of the issue, analysis of the media impact and provide possible solutions to mitigate the concern. (e) Write media releases and talking points – For Mayor, City Council members, and other elected officials and DCA General Manager. (f) Develop press kit materials for Triennial. (g) Develop post-event marketing plan, including follow-up with journalists (h) Prepare a final report detailing all media placement secured.
