Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Redlands owns and operates Hillside Memorial Park (cemetery). The City is expanding into new interment areas, totaling approximately 55,500 sq ft, and is seeking a contractor to facilitate the following services: -Awarded contractor shall perform an irrigation audit on existing, in ground irrigation system. -Awarded contractor shall perform weed abatement/management to entire area prior to hydroseeding application. -Awarded contractor shall perform any necessary contouring and prep work to ensure grounds have a level and consistent grade prior to hydroseeding application. -Awarded contractor shall ensure the hydroseed composite is as follows: Marathon II, Triple Crown Dwarf or equal. -Awarded contractor shall ensure seed, fertilizer, water, and other materials, are thoroughly mixed and applied under pressure to the area using hydroseeding equipment, specifically designed for this purpose, and by operators trained to use this equipment. -Spray the area with a uniform, visible coat by using the color of the mulch as a guide. -Apply slurry mix on a calm day and in a sweeping motion, so as to allow the fibers to build on each other in a homogenous manner, until a good coat is achieved, and the material is spread at the rate required per acre. -Exercise special care to prevent any slurry spray on hardscape areas, including pathways, fences, etc. -Awarded contractor shall work with onsite City staff to ensure the proper irrigation schedule is set for the application area. -Post application, awarded contractor shall closely monitor hydroseeded area to ensure all areas are uniformly covered with new grass, and no area over 6"x6" is without germinated/established turf. If such areas are discovered, contractor shall take appropriate steps to reseed affected area. This monitoring and any post work shall continue for 60 days following completion of initial application process.
