Specifications include, but are not limited to: The overall goal is to ensure that every eligible child under DCFS supervision has an opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience by safely participating in the Campership Program. The plan is to expand the Campership Program by partnering with more camp vendors and also offer more year-round camp opportunities. The expansion will provide a greater variety of camps and camp programs to allow increased choices and options, and an increase in meaningful enrichment pathways and continuum of care for eligible DCFS supervised children during their periods off from school. Vendors shall be required to confirm attendance for each child or youth attending their program by obtaining the child or youth’s signature on required documents. For the purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW), the term child and youth are interchangeable.The camp session shall provide (1) an opportunity for youth to learn new skills and experiences; (2) continuous supervision of youth during camp hours or session; (3) provide a fun, nurturing and safe environment to engage youth during camp session and in all program activities; (4) provide appropriate snacks and meals; and (5) transportation services during camp hours for special activity engagement.
