The project involves the full rehabilitation of a wet well facility, beginning with mobilization, site setup, and general conditions work including traffic control, safety, project management, and coordination. The contractor will design and implement a temporary stormwater bypass system to allow for uninterrupted work during wet well improvements. The existing wet well equipment—including trash racks, discharge and inlet piping, screens, ladders, and grating—will be removed and replaced with new components, including stainless steel and HDPE piping, new grating, hatches, structural beams, davit arms, and ladders. Electrical improvements include removal of the existing electrical shed and equipment, installation of a new outdoor-rated switchboard, and upgrades to all electrical and control systems including a generator interface. The project concludes with full startup, testing, commissioning, and staff training to ensure proper function and long-term maintainability of the rehabilitated system.
