Project Description The project consists of converting a test well into a production well that the City built at the City’s Industrial Water Treatment Plant in 2016. The test well consists of a 12.75 inch outside diameter mild steel and stainless steel well casing and well screen assembly to a depth of 1,630 feet. The project also includes required upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant to allow the expansion of the new well. Construction items include: • Construct topside wellhead improvements, including installation of a vertical turbine lineshaft deep well pump and motor, above and below ground discharge piping, pump to waste spool, connection to existing raw water line. • Add an additional arsenic removal treatment filter vessel, including filter internals and media, concrete foundation, and associated piping and appurtenances. • Add an additional turbidimeter, control, and enclosure for filter addition. • Modify the existing filtration system PLC program from operating two of six filter vessels, to three of six filter vessels. • Provide programming modifications to the existing PLC program and OIT screens to add new well pump controls. • Provide and install new VFD and RVSS Starter for the new well pump. • Provide electrical protective device studies and NETA testing as specified.
