.1 SSLTC requires supply, delivery and warranty of healthcare pillows, comforters and bedspreads, as well as other various bedding related products and accessories for resident rooms and beds.
.2 Orders for bedding products will be placed on an as-needed basis throughout the term of the contract. The quantity and frequency of orders may vary across Homes. Orders may not commence immediately upon contract initiation.
.3 The procurement and resident care teams considered the following key factors when developing the product specifications outlined in subsequent sections:
• Resident comfort;
• Pressure relief;
• Resident safety;
• Durability and quality;
• Infection control and ease of cleaning;
• Fire safety / flame resistance.
.4 SSLTC requires pillows of one standard size.
.5 SSLTC requires comforters of one standard size (twin size).
.6 SSLTC may also purchase other bedding products, on as-needed basis. Those may include, but are not limited to: comforters in other sizes, bedspreads of various sizes and styles.
.7 Please note that detailed specifications for those additional items SSLT may or may not purchase will not be provided in the Part 3 of this RFQ. Instead, up to 20 percent of the total contract value will be allocated for miscellaneous bedding products. Please refer to Part 5 of this RFQ for more details.
.8 Purchases under the miscellaneous category will be made at the discretion of the City, based on availability of suitable products in the catalog of the successful supplier, alignment with quality expectations, and competitive pricing.
.9 SSLTC reserves the right not to purchase miscellaneous items if the available options will not meet requirements in terms of quality, specifications or cost.
.10 SSLTC is seeking a Supplier who can provide high-quality products that align with these key considerations to support the health and safety of residents.
