Design Consultant will provide as-needed design services in either Architectural, Structural, or MEP design. The services to be provided will include, but are not limited to, the list provided below:Architectural Consultant• Develop AS BUILT documents for various project scopes.• Planning and design of small tenant improvements by California licensed architect.• Experience with multiple use and occupancy classifications.• Landscape planning and design of recreational facilities and outdoor common areas, by California licensed landscape architect.• Graphic design and public outreach support.• Experience in sustainable design practices.• Provide LEED certification services and support.Structural Consultant• Planning and design by California licensed structural engineers for various public buildings and facilities.• Experience with Building Construction Type I-A, I-B, II-A, II-B, III-A, III-B, IV, V-A, and V-B.• Majority of work will entail structural building assessments and seismic retrofit designs. Firm should be able to develop as-builts as well.• Provide structural design services for small to medium tenant improvement projects.• Experience in sustainable design practices.Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical (MEP) Consultant• Design of new HVAC equipment & control systems.• Design of new electrical equipment and wiring.• Designs for renovations of or new facility plumbing & area drainage systems.• Provide Title-24 calculations and reports.• Provide commissioning services.• Experience in sustainable design practices.• Provide LEED certification services and support; and• Site survey and drafting of as-built plans of existing electrical, mechanical or plumbing infrastructure.All consultants will be responsible for the preparation of construction documents, specifications, estimates, and supporting analysis. Where required, work would be stamped by an architect, civil engineer, and/or a mechanical engineer licensed in the State of California. These services may be utilized by other City Divisions seeking support.
