Specifications include, but are not limited to: Alternative Sentencing and evaluation services. The vendor receives individual case referrals from the Public Defender’s Office, and provides subsequent client interviews (in-custody or out-of-custody), a formal written report in Microsoft Word format to the Public Defender’s Office recommending appropriate program placement or other alternative sentences, possible discussion with the court regarding the recommendation, and transportation to the recommended program, if necessary. Some referrals will be for transportation only. The vendor must provide these services according to the timelines set by the court and the reasonable deadlines set by the defense attorney or social worker.
