Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.3.1. SJC seeks to continue its strategic air service development initiatives that target high priority domestic and international routes as well as further growth in key existing markets. The City recognizes that SJC is a significant economic engine and has made the addition of new routes a priority. 2.3.2. The qualified Consultant will have the demonstrated ability to analyze air service conditions at SJC and make recommendations to SJC staff to maintain current service levels as well as expand service. This may include, but is not limited to, economic studies of the Silicon Valley, preparing studies for presentation to prospective airlines, and providing strategic input on marketing and airport/aviation planning issues. 2.3.3. The successful SOQs for this procurement shall also demonstrate that the Consultant has the appropriate professional and technical background, as well as access to necessary resources, to fulfill the stated Scope of Services. The Consultant shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the Scope of Services as described herein: 2.3.3.1. Provide a supporting role in airline outreach for SJC, including but not limited to the research, analysis, and preparation of route forecasts and business case materials; 2.3.3.2. Coordinate with SJC staff to optimize targeted discussion materials/power point presentations for international and domestic carriers; 2.3.3.3. Update demographic/economic indicators supporting airline outreach as directed; 2.3.3.4. Conduct meetings as directed with City and community stakeholders to validate findings and generate support for SJC’s air carriers and overall development strategy; 2.3.3.5. As directed, represent SJC and conduct one-on-one airline meetings for SJC at airline/airport networking events, including but not limited to the World Routes and ACI-NA JumpStart events; 2.3.3.6. Focus strategic objectives, recommendations, and related work on high priority domestic and international carriers; 2.3.3.7. Organize/coordinate meetings at airline headquarters and reciprocal visits to SJC as required; and 2.3.3.8. Perform other aviation-related advisory/consulting duties and projects to enhance the Airport’s ability to successfully develop business and accommodate growth as assigned.
