Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Larvicide. The Vector Control program shall provide the larvicide for the applications. The larvicide may be in granular or liquid form. b. Equipment. The Contractor shall furnish the County of San Diego (COSD) FAA approved aircraft, equipped with appropriate systems for the dispersal of larvicide to control mosquito larvae in specified water bodies, some near populated areas within the County of San Diego. c. Certifications. Each listed aircraft shall have a FAA certificate aircraft registration and standard airworthiness certificate. d. Aircraft Maintenance. The Contractor shall be in compliance with FAR 137. The application aircraft must be in good mechanical condition with a current 100-hour inspection and a current annual inspection or time between overhauls or progressive maintenance plan, per FAR 137. The County of San Diego may reject any aircraft deemed not suitable for this contract. All aircraft and equipment proposed for use in this project shall be inspected prior to the start of the project. The Contractor shall provide and maintain an accurate daily flight record and furnish the County of San Diego with a copy upon request.
