This RFP seeks to secure the most qualified consultant to compile and implement a comprehensive ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for City buildings, parks, and public rights-of-way, including parking lots, street intersections, and sidewalks. The selected consultant will, among other tasks, perform field investigations within the City right-of-way and at City facilities and parks to identify obstacles limiting accessibility, describe methods to improve accessibility and specify a schedule for achieving ADA compliance. The consultant will review and research the City’s list of 17 facilities and 36 parks, along with an estimated 177 street miles of public right-of-way. The City desires to develop an ADA SelfEvaluation and Transition Plan that meets the requirements of applicable laws and regulations but allows for maximum flexibility in the schedule and cost of implementation of both consultant services and associated ADA improvements. Accordingly, the following is intended only as a guide for submission of the Scope of Services to be included in the proposal.
