Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of San Diego Sheriff's Department requires training for up to 25 forensic examiners from throughout the County
to ensure their overall knowledge of cognitive factors that are relevant to the field of fingerprint examination is current.
1.2. The training shall introduce to the examiners specialized research and techniques to allow them to acquire a variety of tools
to increase their objectivity of the analysis, comparison, evaluation and verification (ACE-V) process. This training is
expected to benefit the forensic examiners to increase their level of documentation on casework and also prepare them for
any court testimonies relating to the analysis and results of latent prints.
