Nonprofit organizations to provide operation and supportive services for Long Beach Year-Round Shelter (YRS) Programs for individuals and adult households experiencing homelessness in Long Beach. The Contractor must implement the following key features into the YRS Program, including but not limited to: • 24-hour access for intake (to accommodate first responder drop offs and discharge coordination); • 24-hour security to promote safety for participants, staff, and invited guests; • Safe space for observation and support of participants with significant needs; • Family safe transfer space (same night resting space for families whoneed linkage to a family shelter the next morning) and Emergency transfer accommodations for DV/IPV participants who are in need of a safe space; • Accommodations for pets including service and/or emotional/companion pets; • Designated sleeping quarters for couples, males, females, and LGBTQ+; • Operations for a warming kitchen to facilitate meals and meal distribution; • Temporary storage accommodations; • Participants have access to a phone which participants can use within reasonable limits;
