The artwork shall consider one or more of the following elements: • Draw inspiration and context from the place and people of Woodland • Reflect the Aquatic Center’s role as an asset that fosters community, fitness, and connection • Consider the design, architecture, and scale of the site Consideration will be given to the overall quality and aesthetics of the proposal. Key factors include: • Outstanding innovation, creativity, and quality in previous public art pieces • Expertise in identifying and working with permanent materials appropriate for long-term use, subject to varying weather conditions. • Special consideration will be given to project longevity to ensure that deterioration is not a concern. For this purpose, mosaic or ceramic artwork may be favored over other comparable mediums.
