Placer County’s Department of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources’ Regional Forest Health (RFH) Division has been awarded a grant through the California Fire Safe Council (CFSC) to implement the Placer County Wildfire Resilience Coordination Project. This project is designed to enhance wildfire resilience collaboration, strengthen engagement with wildfire mitigation stakeholders, and develop a robust, countywide wildfire mitigation project pipeline. To fulfill the goals of this grant, the County is seeking a qualified individual/firm to coordinate and implement tasks related to outreach, stakeholder engagement, data collection and analysis, and meeting facilitation. The contractor will also support project tracking and contribute to reporting that informs local and regional wildfire resilience strategies.A key focus of this contract is to help transition wildfire mitigation projects from the conceptual stage into actionable, implementation-ready projects. This includes identifying priority opportunities within the 31 mapped priority areas comprising the County’s 10-Year Wildfire and Forest Resilience Action Plan (10-Year Action Plan), forming partnerships, preparing preliminary project scopes, identifying potential funding sources, and supporting early-stage compliance and permitting needs where applicable.
