The Project site is located west of Interstate 5 and east of Mendocino National Forest, in unincorporated Glenn County. The site is located approximately 1.5 hours north of Sacramento, west of I-5, and sits on the western side of the Sacramento Valley. Portions of USGS 7.5’ Quadrangle Maps: Paskenta, Elk Creek, Stonyford and Fruto. (Shapefile Available by contacting Glenn County PWA). This Project will be 100% in the County of Glenn right-of-way areas and will establish hazard tree removal along 25.5 Center Line Miles along 3 roads located in the Mendocino National Forest, on both sides, of County Road 308, CR. 309 and Forest Highway 7. The Project is 51 Total Miles is specifically designed to remove dead and hazardous trees within 25 feet of the road edge to prevent them from falling onto the road, thus reducing fall hazards and limiting the spread of wildfire.
