a. Water main leak may require, but not limited to the following • Contractor shall located extent of water main break via water leak listening device; acoustics, ultrasonic, etc. to limit the extent of asphalt and earthwork required. • The contractor shall cut, demo and remove all materials required to expose the working area to complete pipe work. • Contractor shall dispose of all materials offsite. • Contractor shall be responsible for locating upstream shut off and enacting to complete work. • Contractor to provide like pipe to extent to remove damaged pipe for replacement. All sleeves, jackets etc. products shall be submitted to CMD for approval. Jackets, couplers, sleeve shall meet or exceed NSF/Caltrans/county/city standards for clean water. • Contractor shall verify pipe remediation in the presence of CMD inspector prior to fill in. • Close trench shall be per county of San Joaquin utility standard(s). • Asphalt thickness and type shall match existing. At a minimum, asphalt shall be 4” over 16” of class II AB compacted to 95% RC. Joint shall be offset to extent required by Caltrans offset standard. b. Sanitary Sewer Cleanout to grade replacement • Contractor to scope as required to locate broken sewer line and cleanout connection to lateral. • Contractor to cut, replace and repair sewer line to working condition. • New clean out shall be provided with double 90 ability at connection. • Clean out access shall be located in same general area as existing, existing box may be reused. • All asphalt and underground work shall match that in nature of the “water main leak” work above.
