A. Contractor shall remove two (2) existing ten-thousand (10,000) gallon water tanks, all support structure, and existing plumbing underneath the tanks. B. Contractor shall provide and install two (2) new ten-thousand (10,000) gallon water tanks that are engineered for location specific snow load. C. Contractor shall ensure that the provided water tanks have man access from top of tank. D. Contractor is required to submit plans stamped by a California registered engineer and calculations for the engineering of the tanks which must be approved by a CAL FIRE Project Representative. Alternatively, contractor shall provide a manufacturer certification stating the rated snow load is acceptable in lieu of stamped plans. E. Contractor shall be responsible for placement of a concrete pad, soil surface preparation, and all associated components required for stable placement of the water tanks. F. Contractor shall ensure the soil compaction plan, concrete pad dimensions, and concrete mix design are submitted and approved by a CAL FIRE Project Representative. G. Contractor shall ensure that water tank plumbing is installed to match the intent of existing water tanks.
