The City of Arcadia is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the replacement of 2,000 water meters and 5,500 water meter dials for the transition from Automated Meter Reading (“AMR”) technology to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (“AMI”). This project aims to modernize the water metering system, improve operational efficiency, and enhance data accuracy. The primary objective of this project is to upgrade the water metering system to AMI technology. This transition will: • Improve the accuracy and reliability of water usage data. • Enhance operational efficiency by eliminating manual and drive-by meter readings. • Provide real-time consumption data for both the utility and customers. • Support water conservation efforts through timely leak detection and consumption monitoring. • Reduce operational costs and improve billing accuracy.
