Parts Washer A. Contractor agrees to rent and service parts washers containing flow-through brushes, flexible hoses, lighting, and Ground Fault Circuit Interpreter (GFCI) protection. B. Parts washers shall meet all current local and state requirements. C. Contractor shall dispose of hazardous waste from parts washers in existing hazardous waste barrels at each location every 12 weeks. D. Services shall be performed every 90 days, per Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, or upon service call from the CAL FIRE Project Representative. Contractor shall respond within 72 hours of the service call. E. Contractor shall handle, pump, remove, transport, and recycle all waste in accordance with applicable State, Federal, and Local laws and regulations. F. Contractor shall provide collection containers for waste items as requested by the CAL FIRE Project Representative. G. Contractor shall increase and/or decrease service quantity and frequency based on fluctuations in work demands at the CAL FIRE San Diego Fire Center, as directed by the CAL FIRE Project Representative. Changes to services quantities do not constitute approval to exceed Agreement total without an executed contract amendment. Waste Oil Removal and Disposal A. Contractor shall provide CAL FIRE with the removal and disposal of hazardous waste materials stored in tanks and 55-gallon drums. B. Waste items shall include Non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (Non-RCRA) waste, liquid (waste oil, hydraulic and transmission fluids), waste coolant, waste anti-freeze, wash rack pumping, used oil and waste fuel filters, oil absorbents, and waste solvents. C. Services for waste only shall be performed no less than every 90 days, as needed per Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Services may be required more frequently. Exact frequency to be determined by the CAL FIRE Representative. If an additional call is made sooner than the 90 days, the 90 days cycle may resume again from the additional service call. Remainder of services shall be by call from the CAL FIRE Project Representative or designated employees at the service locations. Contractor shall respond within 72 hours of service calls. D. Contractor shall handle, pump, remove, transport, and recycle all waste in accordance with applicable State, Federal, and Local laws and regulations. E. Contractor shall provide any Material Safety Data Sheets, Bill of Lading and Material Manifest for each removal as required by Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. F. In the event that there are unknown hazardous wastes, Contractor shall provide Hazard Categorization (HazCat) service on a, “As-Needed” basis or as requested by the CAL FIRE Project Representative. 1) HazCat services include but are not limited to the following: a. Hazardous waste detention b. Identification c. Sample testing, d. Both on-sites and offsites re-packaging, transporting, and disposing G. Contractor shall increase or decrease service quantity and frequency based on fluctuations in work demands, as directed by the CAL FIRE Project Representative.
