A. Contractor shall decommission, remove, and legally dispose of two (2) existing Liebert HVAC AHUs. Both units and condensers are located in Room 124. The temperature must be maintained in the room where the Lieberts are being replaced. Contractor shall provide the following services for Liebert HVAC AHUs: 1) De-energize all electrical leads and safely secure electrical lines. 2) Recover existing refrigerant from the system safely. 3) Remove condensing unit and filter drier unit from the liquid line, if needed. 4) Remove the evaporator coil and old metering device. 5) Confirm the exit point line and flush the unit. 6) Restrict the discharge point and have a flushing point to retrieve the contaminated solvent. 7) Be responsible for the legal disposal of the contaminated solvent, and all parts removed, including but not limited to the entire two (2) existing Liebert HVAC AHUs, and all litter, waste, debris, and similar materials arising from or produced by the work performed under this Agreement. B. Contractor shall furnish, install, and commission two (2) new Liebert HVAC AHUs, Model Number VS042ADA0EI110S, or equivalent, and install and connect to the existing HVAC system. Contractor shall: 1) Furnish and install complete AHUs for the new AHUs, including: fan, motor, variable frequency drive (VFD), return fan, and motor. 2) Reconnect existing copper line sets, ducting, and electrical lines and furnish and install all associated parts, materials, and supplies necessary. 3) Furnish and integrate chilled and heating water coil valves inside the new AHUs. 4) Place new AHUs in the same footprint as the existing AHUs. 5) After the installation has been completed, Contractor shall contact the AHU factory representative to arrange a meeting. This meeting should take place prior to initiating the factory startup or commissioning process. The AHU factory representative will then proceed to conduct the factory startup to verify that the Contractor’s installation adheres to all of the AHU manufacturer’s specifications and standards for the equipment. C. Contractor shall remove, and legally dispose of, two (2) existing Liebert condenser coils and furnish and install (2) new Liebert condenser coils, model MCS056E8ADA110, or equivalent, and furnish and install all associated parts, materials, and supplies necessary. D. Site Preparation 1) Contractor shall cover the floor with polyethylene sheets or fire-retardant treated plywood, extending sheets eighteen inches up the sidewalls. All joints shall be overlapped and taped the full length of the joint. 2) Contractor shall be responsible for limiting dust and dirt migration and protecting floors, walls, racks, and all equipment in the area of the project.
