Specifications include, but are not limited to: Only work within the mapped and flagged work areas. Stay out of exclusion zones. Fell all DEAD TREES that are less than 20 inches diameter at breast height (DBH) and greater than 3 feet tall (unless flagged to keep). Fell all live WHITE FIR trees that are less than 14 inches DBH and greater than 3 feet tall (unless flagged to keep). Do not cut live trees that are not WHITE FIR. Low cut all stumps to less than 3 inches height. From tree felling, cut all fallen trees (activity fuels) into pieces 6 feet long or less. Cut all limbs from logs so that burn piles will get stacked tightly. Pre-existing downed woody materials: Cut at least 80% of existing woody debris, that is already on the ground, into pieces 6 feet long or less. This will create more activity fuels with cut ends (to be stacked into burn piles). Pre-existing woody debris that does not get cut and piled (20% of existing woody debris maximum across the project) should be the woody debris that is more difficult to handle (such as rotten pieces, short pieces or sticks/twigs), and all logs greater than 20 inches diameter...
