Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide an early literacy program to WIC families in County of Riverside through a book distribution program. Approximately 10,000 - 50,000 children will receive age appropriate, quality books (to include bilingual titles) in the mail. This program will increase early literacy for young children from families engaged in the WIC program. This program will provide high quality books which will also assist in school readiness and help children prepare basic literacy skills to succeed in school and life. The services for this project mentioned herein are contingent on grant funding. Vendors shall deliver books to specific locations mentioned in Exhibit “B”. It is preferred that the vendor provide and maintain an online catalogue of books for families to choose from and provide appropriate alternative books to ensure continuity of services.
