The Department of Public Health (“City” or “DPH”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide the City with a Video Directed Observed Technology (VDOT) application. The Contractor’s Video Directed Observed Technology (VDOT) application will primarily be used by the DPH Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic, though other DPH programs/clinics may have future use cases. The TB Clinic estimates up to 100 Patients will use VDOT per month. VDOT will allow Patients to record themselves taking medication remotely and asynchronously without having to go into the clinic. VDOT will allow TB Clinic Staff to review Patient recordings and document Patient medication ingestion information. TB Clinic Staff will oversee set-up, training, and monitoring of Patient usage of VDOT. The Contractor must provide a PHI/HIPAA-compliant turn-key VDOT application via a smartphone application for Patients and via a browser-based web application for TB Clinic Staff.
