The fire suppression system must provide comprehensive thermal/fire detection and suppression capabilities, specifically designed for compressed natural gas powered vehicles, to enhance safety for passengers, drivers, and vehicle assets. The proposed fire suppression system will be appropriate for paratransit buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and will comply with all applicable regulation including, but not limited to the following: o NFPA 52: Vehicular natural gas fuel systems code o NFPA 17: Dry chemical extinguishing system o FMVSS and ADA vehicle standards o SAE J1455 (for vehicular environmental and durability requirements) o Local fire and transportation safety codes
