THE PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR BID (RFB) IS FOR A RENTAL OF A TEMPORARY 17,000 GALLON ABOVE GROUND FUEL TANK f. Contractor to provide crane and riggers. g. Install all Deadman straps and turnbuckles as required to anchor the new double wall tank. h. Provide pedestrian direction signs to route people around the project site. 2. On site fuel storage a. Provide a temporary 17,000-gallon above ground fuel tank capable of transferring fuel to the 10,000-gallon underground fuel tank. Temporary tank must meet the UL142 requirements. To include i. Provide and install a 2” updraft vent on the tank. ii. Provide and install an emergency vent on the tank. iii. Provide and install a mechanical fuel level gauge on the tank. iv. Provide all required decals and placards on the tank. v. Provide and install a grounding rod and cable for the tank. b. Provide all civil work (temporary leveling slab) to support the temporary tank. This pad is to be poured over the existing asphalt cover c. Provide vehicle protection on three side to the temporary fuel tank. Example KRails d. Transfer and polish fuel from the existing 25,000-gallon underground fuel tank to the temporary fuel tank. e. Upon completion of the project transfer and polish the fuel in the temporary fuel tank to the new 25,000-gallon fuel tank. f. Fuel polishing to include: i. Remove water, sludge, and particulates from 25-1 micron. ii. The fuel will be processed through a water separator and 25 to 1-micron filtration process. iii. Tank grounding is to be maintained during the fuel filtering and transfer process. g. Take fuel samples as directed by the local CUPA after fuel has been transferred. h. Upon project completion remove and return temporary tank, per current regulations.
