Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Contractor shall be responsible for the successful performance of this Agreement and for the successful performance of all subcontractors, if applicable, and support services. B. The Contractor shall possess and maintain all applicable licenses throughout the duration of this Agreement including C10 Electrical C7 Low Voltage & C16 Sprinkler. C. The Contractor must be a Gamewell certified dealer and have Gamewell certified technicians throughout the duration of this agreement. D. The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. E. The Contractor shall remain in compliance to all applicable city, county, state and federal laws, ordinances, regulations, guidelines, pamphlets, circulation letters, or any other applicable directive, including but not limited to, California Residential Code (CRC), California Building Code (CBC), California Mechanical Code (CMC), California Plumbing Code (CPC), California Electrical Code (CEC) and California Fire Code (CFC) These laws and regulations may be amended from time to time and is the Contractor’s responsibility to remain updated. F. The Contractor shall provide all required services, materials and equipment necessary to maintain equipment operation, for the duration of the Agreement. G. The Contractor will work with CalVet Contract Manager to develop a Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) installation schedule and a preventative maintenance schedule within thirty (30) days of agreement execution that meets the needs of CalVet and minimizes the impact to staff and visitors. H. Onsite work for VESDA installation shall commence no later than 90 days from agreement execution unless otherwise approved by CalVet Contract Manager. Onsite work for preventative maintenance shall commence no later than 90 days from agreement execution unless otherwise approved by CalVet Contract Manager. I. All Contractor technicians shall sign in prior to commencement of work and sign out upon completion of work for all visits to CalVet Headquarters Facility. J. The Contractor shall schedule and coordinate with the State Fire Marshal and CalVet Contract Manager, regarding inspections, plan submissions, certifications and approvals. K. The Contractor shall provide a technically proficient representative for State Fire Marshal visits. L. The Contractor shall provide training on all fire related systems and equipment. This training shall include training on common functionalities of existing and installed fire related systems. M. The Contractor shall render the system fully operational before departure from the CalVet Headquarters Facility. In the event the system cannot be made fully operational, the Contractor shall notify the CalVet Contract Manager or his authorized representative of the status and provide an estimated resolution timeframe before departure from the CalVet Headquarters Facility. VIII. VESDA INSTALLATION A. The Contractor shall replace existing Halon pre-action system with an Xtralis Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) System in the CalVet computer room, located on the sixth floor. B. The Contractor shall provide and install new Gamewell Smoke Detectors compatible with the existing Fire Alarm Control Panel throughout the CalVet computer room and auxiliary rooms currently protected by the pre-action panel for comprehensive area coverage. C. The Contractor shall provide and install VESDA detector(s) to provide very early warning smoke detection in the CalVet computer room to meet 2019 CBC, CEC, CFC, NFPA 72.
