The Contractor shall locate and mark utilities using a color-code via paint or flag markers at points of significant corresponding (i.e., communication, fiber optics, electric, telephone, gas/fuel, water and sewer utilities of all in-slab and underground utilities and related branch circuits), to a depth of twelve (12) feet below grade as indicated below: All water supply lines All gas and fuel lines All steam supply lines and return lines All electrical conduit lines All sanitary and storm sewer drain lines All data/communication lines All other various underground utilities and lines as detected ; The Contractor shall also identify and mark utilities according to the American Public Works Association (APWA) standards for temporary marking of underground utilities. The Contractor shall also provide a digital copy of the plot plan showing all located utility lines. The Contractor shall be knowledgeable in detection and location methods used for underground utility locating (i.e., electromagnetic, radiolocation, ground penetrating radar, etc.) Initial call: Eight (8) hours over a one (1) day period to locate the majority or all the utilities in each construction area.
