Specifications include, but are not limited to: On-call security officers as needed for our District administration sites, school sites, and special event locations (elementary, jr. high, high school, and off-site special event locations/district or school-sponsored). Provide unarmed security officers for the protection of the property at the location specified by the Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD). Security officer(s) at the specified location shall report all suspicious and unlawful activity, and liaison with local law enforcement/authorities, as needed. Security officer(s) shall enforce all rules and regulations of the CVUSD and report any unlawful activities such as loitering, trespassing, vandalism, etc. Violations shall be reported to the school/district site administration, who will determine if law enforcement needs to be contacted. In the event of great bodily injury or harm to students, staff, and or property, law enforcement shall be contacted immediately. Security officer(s) shall not carry any less than lethal weapons such as pepper spray, tasers, or batons. Security officer(s) shall be permitted to carry handcuffs, flashlights, key holders, and radio holders. Security officer(s) shall be required to wear body armor at all times, at the expense of the contracted company. Security officer(s) shall be responsible for monitoring the grounds surrounding the facilities, including, but not limited to parking lots, playgrounds, and athletic fields/stadiums. Security officer(s) shall ensure that all employees comply with all applicable board policies, administrative regulations, laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations set forth by CVUSD. Comply with the security industry standards and laws of the State of California. Security officer(s) will interact with the students/minors and shall maintain a professional standard of conduct and abide by company and CVUSD policies as well as all applicable laws regarding minors. At all times, Security officers shall be friendly, courteous, and professional. The Security officers will provide a visible presence in and around CVUSD facilities while patrolling and be readily available to school administrators, staff, and the public.
