Mechanical • Install redundant HEPA filter caissons to exhaust fans on the rooftop (exhaust ducts will be placed in an existing mechanical chase that leads directly from BSRB B60 to the rooftop. Include automated dampers, sensors, and linkage to the BAS (building automation system). • Provide new supply air dedicated to the B60 suite. • Reconfigure all supply and exhaust ducts in the suite to the dedicated ABSL3 exhaust and supply system. Program and space improvements include, • The conversion of an animal holding room to a procedure room, including adding a sink. • Provide sinks in the existing animal holding room and existing procedure room. • Provide a corridor closet to house CO2 and O2 tanks, including regulators, manifold, and piping to laboratory spaces. • The anteroom's modification includes changing stalls, lockers, and PPE storage. • Reconfigure access doors to service the existing autoclave. • Wall separation from Suite B70. Security • The project will also require upgraded security, including access controls, cameras, and link to existing Paxton & Genetec software programs.
