Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase I: Preliminary Information Gathering and Project Launch Assess the current state of affairs for SA, gathering information, reviewing current and archival documents, and requesting any relevant information to prepare for a project launch. Archival Documents Include: Pre-existing Surveys (Staff and Student Satisfaction Survey, Undergraduate Experience Survey) Campus Strategic Plan, DEI Plan, Student Affairs Priorities Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Development Day sources Initial Interviews with Vice Chancellor, Chief of Staff, and Associate Vice Chancellor of Health, Wellness and Divisional Resources, Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Housing, Dining, and Divisional Operations, and Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Life, Campus Community and Retention Services. Develop an informational document for SA to distribute informing various audiences of the strategic planning process. Phase II: Strategic Planning Retreats/Engagement Events Plan, facilitate, document, and provide thematic recap on a summer 2023 strategic planning leadership retreat with the Vice Chancellor's Council (9 direct reports of the VC). Plan, facilitate, document, and provide thematic recap on a summer 2023 strategic planning engagement with the Student Affairs Leadership Team and VCC (50 people). Plan, facilitate, document, and provide thematic recap on a Fall 2023 strategic planning engagement with the larger division at Fall gathering (~400 in person attendance). Plan, facilitate, document, and provide thematic recap for a campus wide virtual town hall to gather feedback. Plan, facilitate, and document a Winter 2024 Strategic Planning Finalization Engagement (~400 in person attendance). Phase III: Stakeholder Engagement, Analysis and Theme Development Plan, facilitate, document, and analyze themes for stakeholder engagement (interviews) with the following constituents. At this time, we are not interested in a new survey, our preference is to use previously gathered survey data to garner themes. VCC SALT Students Select Staff, Faculty and Administrators Key cross campus partners Phase IV: Final Strategic Plan Report and Goals and Metrics Write and prepare for review of a final strategic plan with strategic goals and metrics. Strategic Plan must fully incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and metrics. Strategic Plan must cover 3-5 years.
