1.2 MSP/VMS – Pilot Program Objective: Seeking a Vendor Neutral/Supplier funded MSP/VMS to work with each UC location and all their contingent labor suppliers to implement a process to ensure the capture and reporting of UC’s contingent labor (including, Independent Contractors, Independent Consultants, Consultants, Professional Services, and Temporary Supplemental Staffing Agencies). Phase 1: Pilot Program, the awarded MSP will implement a “Pilot Program” to test the implementation process and provide an understanding of how well it may perform at full scale while demonstrating their ability to drive the future success of “the Program”. Awarded MSP is invited to perform the requirements of the pilot at no cost. To Implement the Pilot Program, MSP will: i. Partner with UCLA to establish clear goals. ii. Identify the milestones to be achieved and determine how long it might take to meet them. Build a set of actions needed to reach each goal and establish deadlines for them to be completed. iii. Ensure the pilot program performs effectively by identifying a study group to test it out. This knowledge will be used to provide valuable feedback and data regarding how effective the overall program will be once it is rolled out to all UC locations. iv. Obtain feedback from UCLA participants by asking for any improvements they suggest be added to the program. v. Review potential challenges and develop strategies to overcome them or refrain from moving forward with certain elements of “the program” before committing any substantial effort, money, or resources to it.
