Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this funding is to increase the number of therapists with lived experience of the racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse communities in Marin County by supporting training and licensure costs for this population. County of Marin HHS-RFP-2024-12 5 of 18 This will help address occupational shortages by incentivizing trainees to serve Marin County residents in need of high-quality and culturally and linguistically appropriate behavioral health services. A community-based organization or educational institution will serve as the administrative entity to oversee and administer these funds, ensuring applications from trainee therapists are appropriately vetted and approved and funds distributed in a timely manner. It is expected that the selected organization will work closely with the Marin County Office of Equity and Health and Human Services Department to develop eligibility standards, to craft outreach and marketing materials, to report data on funds distributed, and to report outcomes as part of REAP. Applicants should include a proposed budget and timeline of activities during the project period.
