The scope of work and services requested for this RFP include, but are not limited to: • Prepare a site specific safety plan; all services must comply with ANSI Z133 Safety Standards for Arboricultural Operations. • Notify USA North 811 prior to removal of any tree • Identify and secure applicable permits for requested services in coordination with the District • Coordinate all work with District to ensure compliance with findings of pre-Project biological surveys and regulatory permits associated with the Project (Exhibit B) and any site access constraints • Identify and tag all trees to be removed as indicated in the Project plans (Exhibit A) for review by District prior to tree removal • Protect all native trees and vegetation not slated for removal or clearing. Prior to commencing work, install temporary fencing, flagging or equivalent around the perimeter of all vegetated areas and/or individual trees to be preserved or protected, and any other on-site improvements as-needed. • Prior to commencing work, conduct a tree and vegetation removal pre-work field inspection with District • Fell and remove all trees approved by District from the Project site as indicated in the Project plans (Exhibit A) • No tree stumps shall be removed unless otherwise indicated, stumps shall be left in place • Clear all woody and herbaceous vegetation from the Project area as approved by District; Clearing shall conform to Section 17-2, Subsection 17-2.03B, “Clearing “of the 2018 Caltrans Standard Specifications • All materials including logs, branches, wood chips, vegetation and other debris resulting from tree removal and vegetation clearing shall be hauled and disposed of offsite by Contractor • Complete all work between September 1 and October 15, 2025.
