The purpose of this solicitation is to identify qualified vendors/consultants to conduct a thorough/comprehensive urban forestry assessment that includes canopy cover locations and percentages and physical tree inventory. The tree inventory and canopy assessment will be instrumental in producing recommendations for an Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) to improve the immediate and long-term management of the City’s urban forest. Additionally, tree inventory and canopy assessment support the community engagement and feedback component of this project, by deeply embedding local voices in this project from the start. Both assessments will be summarized to support further community education and engagement processes that will contribute to refining the UFMP recommendations and eventually implementing the plan at a neighborhood level.
