2.1 Transportation Services The purpose of this RFP is to solicit qualified transportation service providers to support the transportation needs of the City’s Homeless Services Bureau (HSB). This service endeavors to facilitate access to shelters, access centers, and other essential services, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness. The selected contractor will provide reliable, safe, and timely transportation services, offering flexibility in scheduling, accommodating disabilities, and ensuring accessibility for individuals from various demographic backgrounds. 2.2 Transportation Route The Contractor will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation shuttle services following a route determined by the City. The transportation route will include stops at preapproved locations within the City, including but are not limited to: • 702 Shelter: 702 W Anaheim St. Long Beach, CA 90813 • Atlantic Bridge Community Shelter: 6481 - 6845 Atlantic Ave. Long Beach, CA 90805 • Multi Service Center (MSC): 1301 W 12th St. Long Beach, CA 90813, • Project Homekey (PHK) Locations: 1725 Long Beach Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90813 and 5950 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90805 • Transitional Age Youth Navigation Center: 1718 Hayes Ave. Long Beach, CA 90813 • Other designated areas, determined by the City. The City reserves the right to establish the shuttle routes and times of operations as well as to modify existing routes and times of operation as may be necessary to ensure program services are not interrupted. The City will use its best efforts to avoid such changes but will also use its best efforts to provide 48 hours’ advance notice when possible. Contractor understands that full advance notice may not always be possible and shall use its best efforts to accommodate any requests made on behalf of the City.
