The Scope for Transportation services will include the following: • Provide transportation services for local and long-distance field trips for youth, teens, and seniors participating in recreation programming and services. • Provide pick up and drop off for each park/school site within Long Beach. Customers would be present at the outermost exterior door and would be ready to board the vehicle when their pick-up window begins as needed. Hours for services may vary depending on the time of year. • To make every effort to ensure the safety of all individuals during excursions. All work is to be handled in complete compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and all current county and state codes. • Provide an average of two to six buses per day. There are some events that may require the use of up to 50-60 seater buses. Must be able to accommodate the request. Buses include, but are not limited to, small/large school buses and small/large coach buses. • Provide transportation to venues that range between 10 to 60 miles. • Ensure that buses are ADA compliant when requested. • Ensure hazard/safety equipment is available on all buses. • Provide an alternate bus in case of an accident. • Provide a clean and safe transportation environment that is pleasant for participants.
