It is anticipated that most services can be carried out remotely, but travel to Lake County to provide in-person services may be required during a Board of Supervisors declared emergency. Services may include the following and similar activities: Reporting to the Health Services Director, Contractor shall carry out the functions of Contracted Public Health Officer for a duration of time while the County recruits a Public Health Officer. The Contractor acting as the Contracted Public Health Officer shall have all the powers and duties of an appointed Public Health Officer while providing Contracted Health Officer Services for the County. Contractor must maintain a physician’s license to practice in California (MD or DO). Contractor will provide administrative and non-administrative local Contracted Public Health Officer Services. The services below are identified as important to public health in general, but minimum expectations of the Contractor are limited to on-call support as Contracted Temporary Public Health Officer, including Title 17 disease reporting and response, and emergency/disaster Medical Health Operational Area Coordinator (MHOAC) response with priorities identified by the Board of Supervisors and/or the Health Services Director. Primary services fall into the following administrative and non-administrative functions and/or tasks, including but not limited to: Title 17 Reportable Disease reporting and response and related tasks such as staff meetings and state calls. Public Health emergency/disaster MHOAC response and related tasks such as staff meetings and state calls. Title 15 Jail Medical reporting compliance and annual inspection. Review and approve all Public Health standing orders and protocols for in-house and mobile clinic. Serves as the local Registrar of Vital Records for the County. Be available by phone for consultation related to communicable diseases and meet with Health Services staff as needed, either in person or virtually. Be available to consult with the Environmental Health Services Division, either in person, by telephone or electronically.
